Vogues Top 10 Best Dressed Women of 2018
SHE'S the Royal fashion icon who never fails to inspire our wardrobes and now Meghan Markle has been named as one of Vogue's top 10 Best Dressed Women of 2018.
The Duchess of Sussex - who is expecting her first child in Spring 2019 - joined pop stars Lady Gaga and Rihanna as well as actresses Emma Stone and Gemma Chan on the stylish list.
However, Meghan's equally stylish sister-in-law Kate Middleton notably failed to make the cut.
Despite sharing a love of designers Emilia Wickstead and Alexander McQueen, Meghan Markle has stormed ahead in the fashion stakes this year with her rule-breaking Royal wardrobe.
But while Meghan loves an off-shoulder dress or masculine power suit, Kate has instead played it safe with her conservative selection of midi skirts, block-colour dresses and coats.
The fashion bible paid tribute to Meghan's fashion choices since joining the Royal Family, kicking off with that Givenchy wedding gown.
Praising the elegant boatneck cut, the fashion bible described Meghan's wedding dress as "the biggest fashion commission of the year".
Commending the Duchess for combining high-end designers - such as Givenchy and Oscar de la Renta - with high street brands, Vogue also praised Meghan for "revitalising maternity dressing."
Earlier this week, Meghan Markle stepped out in a stunning floral maternity dress from LA-based designer Brock Collections which she teamed with a £550 coat by Canadian brand Soia & Kyo.
Proving her fashion credentials yet again, the pregnant Duchess looked sensational in a one-shoulder black velvet Givenchy gown earlier this month as she made a surprise appearance at The Fashion Awards to present British Designer of the Year.
Meanwhile, sister-in-law Kate Middleton was slammed by fashion fans in October for wearing the "worst ever" Alexander McQueen dress to a state banquet at Buckingham Palace.
Just a few weeks later, the Duchess of Cambridge got into the Christmas spirit with a £1450 red plaid skirt by favourite designer Emilia Wickstead which she paired with a Brora cashmere cardigan.
And although Kate Middleton missed out on the Vogue Best-Dressed list, she was named among Tatler's most-stylish back in August this year - along with Prince George's "Christopher Robin chic" sense of style of course.
Along with the Duchess of Sussex's winning style choices, Lady Gaga has also been singled out by the fashion bible for her on-point outfits this year.
Having made the leap from fully-fledged pop star to the big screen, the A Star is Born actress appointed two head stylists this year to revamp her red carpets looks.

In other words, gone are the days of raw-meat dresses and rocking up in a luminous egg.
With a little help from some oversized tailoring and timeless silhouettes, Vogue concluded: "A star has indeed been born."
Meanwhile, Vogue also praised Rihanna for "shutting down" the Met Gala this year with her Maison Margiela ensemble.
Along with her bold red carpet outfits for Ocean's 8 press tour, Vogue also gave Rihanna credit for having "single-handedly brought back the bucket hat."
La La Land actress Emma Stone is already one our greatest style inspirations and now the star has been singled out by the fashion bible for her "perfectly poised" red carpet outfits.
And we have to agree with Vogue's conclusion, "no one wears bright red better" than Emma Stone.
Star of Crazy Rich Asians Gemma Chan also had her moment of shining fashion glory in this year's list.
Providing us with a blue-print in "grown-up tailoring", Vogue labels Gemma a "rising star" in the fashion world for her mixture of "princessy Miu Miu, womanly Stella McCartney and no-half measures Oscar de la Renta."
Former child star and Greatest Showman actress Zendaya was the youngest star on Vogue's Best Dressed List at just 22 years old.
Labelling her "fearless, furious" and "fabulous", Vogue claims Zendaya has "rewrote the rules on how to be a teen superstar" with her fashion choices.
Saoirse Ronan was in good company among fashion's greatest heavyweights this year, having earned her position through a mix of Gucci and Carolina Herrera ensembles.
Vogue also took a moment to praise her "sheath silhouettes and futuristic shoes."
Plus-size Vogue cover girl Paloma Elsseser made the fashionable cut too for her "polished, sequin-spangled" ensembles which she combines with a "sport-luxe fuelled, effortlessly sultry attitude."
Meanwhile, Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross was recognised for her bold red carpet looks while Zoe Kravitz's was (unsurprisingly) praised for her trademark rock-chic style.
